In Memory

Anita Todd (Washington) - Class Of 1970

Anita Leona Todd Washington was born in Chicago, Illinois to John Thompson of New Orleans, Louisiana and Juanita Garner Todd of Ellisville, Mississippi on October 6, 1952.

Anita graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in 1970 and received her Associate Degree in Stenography from McCormack Junior college in 1972.  She worked as a Court Reporter for the State of Illinois for 30 years.

On April 4, 1979, Anita married the love of her life, William Milton Washington of Clinton, Louisiana.  The two had three beautiful daughters together:  Erin Nishell, Amber Kristen and Jessica Janae.

Anita was a born again believer in Jesus Christ who started her Christian walk in the early 1980's at Third Baptist Church of Chicago, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.   She joined Valley Kingdom Ministries International in 1997, where she served faithfully as a volunteer in the Children's Church, until she was no longer able.

Anita passed away on November 26, 2005 I believe from cancer, leaving behind her husband, daughters, stepchildren, sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
